Street level narcotics
This course emphasizes how to recognize pre-stop indicators, selecting target vehicles / locations, successful roadside interviews, establishing articulable reasonable suspicion to continue a stop, and important case law on how and why officers can extend traffic stops and broaden the scope of searches. Finally, officers will be provided with tools on how to build a successful case on patrol, and forwarding information to detectives/investigators for more in-depth investigations.
The course exhibits body worn camera / in-car video for practical application of the information discussed. This course also consists of hands-on scenarios to assist officers in better understanding implementing the information discussed.
Whether you are a rookie or a seasoned patrol officer, this course will provide invaluable insight into being a successful street level narcotics officer and how to build successful cases for prosecution.

Schedule
*The schedule for this course is two day- 16 hour with powerpoint presentations and hands-on application/scenarios.
