Street level narcotics
This course focuses on recognizing pre-stop indicators, selecting target vehicles and locations, conducting effective roadside interviews, establishing articulable reasonable suspicion to extend a stop, and understanding crucial case law regarding the extension of traffic stops and the expansion of search scopes. Additionally, officers will receive tools to develop successful cases while on patrol and learn how to forward information to detectives and investigators for comprehensive investigations.
The training includes the use of body-worn cameras and in-car video to provide practical examples of the concepts discussed. Moreover, the course features hands-on scenarios to enhance officers' understanding of how to implement the information covered.
