Open Source Investigations Course
The Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Course assists the uniformed officer, criminal analyst or detective/investigator with technology trends and gives them applicable and practical tools to conduct online investigations involving open source and social media platforms. Dr. Pedroza will discuss topics on internet tools and current social media platforms being used for gang identification, narcotics, human trafficking, and other criminal activities.
The goal of this course is to gather a better understanding incorporating OSINT into investigations while assisting in the facilitating of searching, collecting and analyzing available data and using it to answer questions and producing actionable intelligence. This course will feature live demonstrations and available investigative tools for information and intelligence gathering.

Prerequisites
*Law Enforcement/Crime/Intelligence Analyst who are looking to improve their knowledge in Open Source Investigations/Techniques to assist in improving their everyday enforcement and investigations.
Schedule
*The schedule for this course is one day- 8 hour with powerpoint presentations and live demonstrations.
*TCOLE hours will be reported.
